Love letters on second-bests, self-aggrandizement, and the human condition

There is this old Tamil film song from a Sivaji Ganesan picture, Padithal Mattum Pothuma, whose lyrics go, “நான் கவிஞனும் இல்லை, நல்ல ரசிகனும் இல்லை / காதலென்னும் ஆசையில்லா பொம்மையும் இல்லை.” Which is in other words, Neither am I a poet, nor am I a connoisseur… But to not have the desire known as love, I’m not a (lifeless) doll either. Beyond this, I am not sure how to describe this blog or even what its theme is. If you can figure it out, please write to me. What I do know is that I’m (at least, as yet) a rather poor yet indulgent writer, and this is a space for practice—welcome aboard!
